Welcome to Smallfit ("Smallfit", "we", "us"). By using our planning tool at smallfit.be, you agree to the following terms.

1. Purpose of the tool

Smallfit is a planning and visualization tool for small living spaces — tiny houses, campervans, shipping containers, apartments, and other compact interiors. It helps you estimate whether furniture will fit within a given space. The tool is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, for informational and planning purposes only.

2. About dimensions and specifications

Furniture dimensions

All furniture dimensions shown in Smallfit — whether preset items like "Rock-and-roll bed 120×190 cm" or "Kitchen unit 150×55 cm" — are generic reference values based on common models on the market. They are:

• Not sourced from any specific manufacturer
• Not guaranteed to match the item you plan to buy or build
• Not updated in real-time — actual products may vary

Vehicle and space dimensions

Preset dimensions for vehicles (Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, VW California), shipping containers (10ft, 20ft, 40ft), and tiny house sizes are based on manufacturer brochures and ISO standards at the time of preset creation. However:

• Interior dimensions may vary between production years, trim levels, and regional versions
• Insulation thickness in campervan and container builds significantly affects usable space
• Wheel arches, water tanks, structural elements may be positioned differently in your specific vehicle
• Custom builds deviate by nature

You must verify actual dimensions with your vehicle's or container's manufacturer, dealer, or physical measurement before making purchasing or building decisions.

3. Not a substitute for professional advice

Smallfit is a visualization aid, not an engineering tool. Before making any decision that involves cost, construction, purchase, or safety, you must:

• Physically measure your actual space
• Consult manufacturer specifications for exact dimensions
• Consult a professional builder, contractor, or engineer for construction plans
• Comply with local building codes, road regulations (for on-wheels units), and safety standards

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Belgian and EU law, Smallfit and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Purchases made based on Smallfit's planning tool
• Construction or renovation decisions
• Furniture that does not fit despite Smallfit indicating "Good fit"
• Structural, safety, or regulatory issues in any built space
• Loss, damage, or expense resulting from reliance on Smallfit's outputs

Smallfit's total liability, if any, is limited to the amount you have paid for the service. Since the tool is currently free (during beta), that amount is €0.

5. Intellectual property

The Smallfit brand, design, tagline "Keep less. Live lighter.", and platform code are the intellectual property of the Smallfit team. You retain full ownership of your own planning data (rooms, custom furniture) and may share it as you wish.

6. Data and privacy

Smallfit stores minimal data:

• Rooms and layouts you create
• Custom furniture items you add
• Your email address (only if you sign in)

Data is stored on Supabase servers in the EU (Ireland region). We do not sell, share, or use your data for third-party advertising. You can request deletion of your data by contacting hello@smallfit.be.

7. Beta status

Smallfit is currently in beta. This means:

• Features may change, break, or be removed
• Downtime may occur
• Data loss is unlikely but possible — please export or screenshot important layouts
• Pricing (currently free) will change in the future; existing beta users will be notified in advance

9. Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of Belgium. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Antwerp.
